I got hit by a car on my bicycle. What legal action can I take?
In some states you are an insured of a car that hits you. In that case your medical bills (regardless of fault) would be paid by that car’s insurance.
If the driver was at fault but has no insurance you may be able to make an uninsured motorist claim. You would look to the insurance on a car owned by you or by a relative who you live with.
